Fantastic scan news! Everything’s still stable or shrinking!
First thing this morning we took a deep breath and met with the doctor for the results of Monday’s scan. These last several months it’s been hard, especially for Val, to shake the uneasiness as we waited to see if the tiny mystery smudge noticed on the last scan would make any alarming moves. But to our vast relief the smudge did not make a reappearance. (What might have caused the smudge to register on the last scan? Possibilities are several and vague, including pleural thickening or a few temporarily collapsed air sacs.)
Scan results show that the remaining much-diminished tumor (and a nodule or two) are stable and there was nothing new detected. The main tumor may even have shrunk fractionally once again.
As Amy put it: Mercy me! Two consecutive days of thanksgiving.
gratefully,
Deborah
