Geese, leaf fights, granite, folktales

Hi all,

Val had a pretty drive over three days to Tahoe, where she is staying with Kim.  So far (she reports) her visit has included climbing on rocks, a bald eagle, the sound of geese landing on a lake, crumbled granite sand, good food and good conversation.  She sounds happy.

My week so far has included choir rehearsal, a meditation on gratitude with the youth I advise, leaf fights, and the chance to hear the phrase “Now I will eat you up, Billy Goat Gruff!” uttered in Somali.  I’m off to Mexico on Friday.

Love to all,

Deborah

  1. It’s your old friend, Liz, ya know the Liz who you know from Rachel. I just wanted to say that you both have been on my mind. I read the blog and think of you. Geese and Mexico and good food and conversation all sound like just the right things.
