So this morning I’m off to chemo. I hope. There is some issue with my neutrophils. My bone marrow is not producing enough so they are going to give me a drug that will induce my bone marrow to give up the goods. It is called neupogen and it has a somewhat bad reputation. It’s a daily, self-administered shot which causes bone pain. Some people have more pain some less. We will find out Thursday or Friday. it also means I am much less likely to have a very bad infection of some kind.

It sounds a bit harder to stay present in the moment when dealing with pain. so i think i may need escorts down this rabbit hole. people to come remind me of myself. people with faith. this drug-induced darkness is only a journey. someplace to return from. chemo seems so benign now.
