Dear all,
Dr. S just called to let Val know that the scan results show her cancer continues to progress. This confirms what her symptoms suggested to us. It also means she no longer qualifies for the Tarceva trial, so at least she can recover from that set of side effects. Dr. S says she might still try more palliative radiation, and consider going back to some kind of chemo. For now, he suggests she try oxygen to help with her increasingly labored breathing.
Val’s mom has been unconscious since last night. It seems she will not live much longer. Val has a flight to Montana scheduled for Tuesday, but will try to move that up. In order to get the oxygen question settled over the weekend, she is on her way to the ER now to receive advice about whether she can travel without it, or to have it prescribed.
I will go to Montana too, not so soon as to be in the way, but as soon as I can.
Love,
Deborah
Thinking of you both. With all my heart. O friends. I will be carrying you around inside me. O i love you.
Sending so much love. Holding you close and dear.
Sending so much love, too. And holding space in my heart and my thoughts.
….loving you from afar
Sending you and Val and Val’s family much love.
Oh, sorry to hear that.
